Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a process engineer for a 12-month contract based in Montrose, Scotland. The position is working for one the UK's largest pharmaceutical manufacturing companies who are looking to make significant infrastructure improvements within the Montrose plant.

This Process Engineer will focus on supporting these large infrastructure improvement projects, liaising with all areas of the business to provide commissioning support and investigating issues to providing solutions and conduct commissioning of new equipment.

Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the replacement of all legacy equipment within the plant.
  • Perform commissioning activities.
  • Investigate issues and provide solutions to ensure projects remain on target.
  • Conduct plant testing including safety reviews and test script preparation.
  • Work alongside other engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software, EC&I)
  • Use of Emerson DeltaV.
  • When projects are still within design phase support design teams with HAZOP action closure and software early specifications.
  • Take a lead role providing guidance and training where needed for commissioning activities.

Experience Required:

  • All candidates must be degree qualified or equivalent ideally within a chemical, bio-chemical or pharmaceutical related field.
  • Previous experience within a process engineering role is essential however this specific company is open to candidates of all levels from graduate to senior level (pay rates will reflect on level of experience).
  • Experienced in the use of Emerson Delta V software is highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to find solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Immediate starts for this position are available, initially on a 12-month contract there is a highly likelihood that this will be extended further.
