Carbon60 are currently recruiting for an experienced Aviation Planning Engineer on a permanent basis to join a well know aerospace company based on site at London, Gatwick.

The purpose of the position is to support the CAMO team to monitor and plan the maintenance programmes within the business to ensure the timely completion of scheduled work.

This will also involve coordinating with the various maintenance teams and planning departments to ensure compliance with CAA Regulations and airworthiness.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working with suppliers to develop and supervise programs of inspections included within the approved maintenance programmes as well a ensuring completion of all work scheduled.
  • Conduct evaluations of the fleet maintenance requirements.
  • Plan required resources ensuring availability to deliver scheduled work on time.
  • Take the lead conducting reviews.
  • Manage the relationship between the business and sub contracted engineering and maintenance suppliers.
  • Liaise with all departments including operations control centre and suppliers to control activity on the business network.
  • Work with operations planning team to coordinate the routing of aircraft.
  • Control the life limited parts, inspections and airworthiness directives to ensure they are completed within defined timescales.
  • Work alongside the other members of the CAMO team to support the delivery of airworthy operations.

Skills Required:

  • Experience working within an aerospace/aviation planning or airworthiness role.
  • Knowledge of CMM Part-M, Part 145 and Part 21 requirements.
  • Experience of developing technical plans and maintenance activities.
  • Experience of effective supplier management.
  • Knowledge of aircraft materials, parts and processes.
  • Experience of Aircraft certifications, airworthiness reports and technical support.


Candidates will need to be qualified to HNC/HND level or equivalent (degree, diploma etc.) within a relevant aerospace or engineering field or CAA/EASA pt66 licensed.
