Maintenance Electrician Carbon60 currently recruiting for the below Maintenance Electrician role set within a heavy engineering environment. Responsibilities:To service, repair and maintain all plant equipment and electrical systems as directed by supervisor. Ensure that the service provided is quick and efficient with full adherence to all health and safety regulations.This position is based within the Engineering Department in where you will be part of a small team responsible for the repair and maintenance of all electrical plant equipment and electrical systems.Ensure that all jobs are carried out safely, with due regard to risk assessments, permit to work, working procedures and statutory legislation. Responsible for wearing protective clothing and notifying supervisor of potential hazards.Maintain all plant and electrical equipment and report damage or misuse to immediate supervisor. Liaise with operational staff where appropriate.Develop an in depth working knowledge of plant equipment and associated drawings in order to repair and maintain equipment to minimise downtimeUse initiative, common sense and organisational skills in order to work without supervision and ensure the job is completed accurately and safely.Inform management and immediate supervisor to ensure everyone is aware of the appropriate timescales for completing of tasks. This is particularly essential during peak periods.Have the ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions.KnowledgeRelevant Electrical Qualification. Relevant Health and Safety Training.Minimum 3 years experience in heavy engineering environment.Experience of maintenance and repair of the below is essential:DC motor control equipmentAC motor starting equipment12/24 v DC control systemsAutomotive RepairsPLC controlsHV and LV network experienceLV cable joining.Driving licence essential.
