Health & Safety ManagerA unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to work for a specialist world renowned Facilities Management company. The position is based at their prestigious clients site in Dublin.
The Role of Health & Safety Manager
· To ensure all Health & Safety legislation is integrated and followed within company procedures.· Carry out internal audits in accordance with ISO 14001, 9001 & OHSAS 18001 certificate requirements.· Making sure that the HSQE records are up to date and maintained at all times.· Attend regular management quality review meetings to report on quality issues and take whatever action is necessary as a result.· Keep up to date with the latest Quality and H&S standards and implement procedures as required.· Advise on amendments to HSQE system required as a result of any organisational changes.· Continuous monitoring of sub-contractor and supplier performance.· Act as main company representative for all Health and Safety issues · Sets and meets challenging goals & seeks long term improvement· Review QSE risks and escalate where appropriate· Monitor, audit and report on contract QSE performance · Manage Near Miss Accidents and RIDDOR investigations· Manage the arrangements for incident, accident and statutory inspections and implement resultant process improvements Ideal Health & Safety Manager· Management Experience -experience within FM Industry.· Recognised H&S qualification (NVQ Level 6 / Diploma or equivalent).· Internal Auditor (ISO 14001, 9001 & OHSAS 18001).· Chartered member of IOSH (or working towards).· Detailed knowledge of current QHSE legislation in Ireland. Knowledge of UK legislation an advantage.· Excellent and proven operations/client relationship management.· Robust knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation & best practice and appropriate industry specific qualifications (NEBOSH & IEMA, Auditor Training).· Commercial understanding of FM Management contracts and operational business processes.· Experience of development and implementation of QSE systems and managing and maintaining external accreditations across an Integrated Facilities Management business.Company offers in return
