The Role of Facilities Manager
This position would suit an experienced Operations Manager / Site Lead with a Maintenance or Engineering background as the role will have heavy involvement on making decisions of Technical, Hard services parts of the business.· Operational management of services provided M&E and Building Fabric, Soft Services (cleaning, catering, security) and project management· Management of staff including Management team, hard and soft services FM· Undertake Authorised Person responsibilities in relation to specified systems· Implement and maintain business improvement and process improvement into all areas· Preparation of contract level monthly P&Ls to show financial performance· Be the main point of contact on the site for the client· Ensure Health & Safety compliance with policies, systems and procedures are in place · Responsible for writing/reviewing of building SOPs in conjunction with Companys Compliance teams· To represent the Company on IFM related questions from both internal and external auditors.
The Ideal Facilities Manager
· HND/HNC/C&G/NVQ in Engineering discipline· Good financial knowledge, including experience of budgetary control· Good working knowledge of compliance and quality legislation relating to mechanical and electrical engineering· Exceptional client relationship management skills · Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills· Demonstrable track record of developing successful operational strategies across a broad portfolio of IFM services· Knowledge of risk and compliance processes, protocols, escalations and resolution methods· Contractual knowledge of services sold and implementation of operating standards· Experience in sector contracting and sector technical service delivery · Demonstrable commercial experience and business acumen· People skills, experience in people management, creating a one team approach· Development of commercially viable solutions based on rigorous techniques to understand client needs and price products/services accordingly· Proven track record of building services management and building asset (plant and equipment) operations in a complex building services environment· Demonstrable experience of leading and managing Managers, Supervisors & Engineers· Ideally experience operating on a manufacturing site
