Quality Inspector

Carbon 60 are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector for its market leading manufacturing client in Wrexham.

Working within the Quality department you will be working as part of a team assessing and maintaining quality standards, carrying out audits, approving and inspecting materials, in-process production, inspecting finished products and recording quality results.

Skills & Abilities

The suitable candidate will be proficient in conducting internal audits. Knowledge of TS16949, ISO18001, FOI, PDI. Ability to use Verniers and Micrometers.

Responsibilities include:

• Approve and confirm visual and measurement specifications of incoming materials, first-offs, and finished products, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials, returning any products for re-work whilst communicating with all management levels.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarising re-work and waste, inputting data into quality database.
• Carry out PDI checks on finished products and Cross hatch testing on painted parts
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Preferred:

• IATF 16949:2016 Automotive Certificate and/or experience of working in Manufacturing e.g. Automotive, Engineering

Working hours are 6.00am to 4.15pm Monday to Thursday. Any hours worked outside these are paid at 1.5x

23 days holiday per year based of plant shutdowm

Pay rate is £10ph and is a temp (3 months) to perm position
