The Role: I am currently recruiting for proven O&M Manager for permanent / staff position in London. To be considered, the O&M Manager will need to demonstrate experience in the EPC of large-scale renewable energy projects. The successful candidate would report into the Regional Head of O&M. Your role will involve, but not be limited to:

  • To organise/arrange resources to perform Maintenance activities (subcontractors, specialised companies, suppliers)
  • To support Regional Head of O&M for recruitment of local O&M personnel and start up of local O&M operations
  • To support Regional Head of O&M to budget and to keep track of it
  • To liaise with the engineering and construction team in technical aspects that come up during the operational phase
  • To develop, implement, plan, coordinate, schedule maintenance procedures with Contractors/ in house teams in line with manufacturers recommendation and keeping contractual obligations
  • To ensure compliance of the activities with local rules and regulations
  • To liaise with H&S team at any fault raised as a H&S hazard at the projects and cooperate with them in order to fix issues raised during the H&S audits carried out annually
  • To have knowledge of the contracts (EPC and O&M)
  • To manage single or a portfolio of solar projects, ensuring that all O&M activities are undertaken in accordance with the agreed contractual scope
  • To chase O&M subcontractors or O&M teams to address any failures/downtime the soonest possible in order to ensure guaranteed project KPI's (PR and Availability)
  • To ensure that CMMS tool is up to date and manage (open/close/update) fault tickets, keeping contractual obligations
  • To liaise with the project Clients (especially the Client AM), organising regular update calls and respond to any issues for the sites raised by the project Clients (operational or non-operational)
  • To assist Performance Analysts for implementation of O&M reporting (monthly, yearly)
  • ?? liaise with Regional Account teams for invoices acceptance/ confirmation, contracts amendments/preparation, services, materials delivery confirmation.
  • To liaise with grid operators in case of failures/scheduled outages for the projects
  • To work on the FAC punch lists of the project and pursue the FAC certificate (negotiating with the clients).
  • To chase up the release of WC/PAC/FAC retention's from the clients
  • To expand the database of our contractors by making new collaborations after searching for new contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record in Maintenance of big scale solar projects
  • Experience with budget preparation and management
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proactive attitude, not reactive
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record in supervision / management of mixed teams (O&M contractors or/and O&M technicians, Vendors) for the operation of solar projects
  • Minimum 5 years proven track record in the Solar industry
  • Experience in Contracts Management
  • H&S competencies
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of the local regulations and legal requirements
