
Carbon 60 are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer for its highly successful FM company based in the East Midlands.
Job objectives and responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Supervisor, the primary function and responsibilities of the Engineer will include Electrical & Mechanical services to plant, equipment and all other associated elements in an efficient, safe manner and in accordance with company Health and Safety policy, Safe Systems of Work and current regulations.
Role would suit candidates who live in MK. NN. OX. LU. CM. PE. postcodes regions.
Main duties
- Undertake all Electrical & Mechanical works across various sites
- To ensure that all equipment and services are in a safe condition
- To be responsible for and take care of company supplied equipment and materials
- To understand and comply with policies and procedures
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
- To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
- To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
- To perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, including fault finding and repair
- To undertake work outside normal working hours in accordance with contract
- Ensuring that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records maintained accurately
- To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to line management as necessary.
- To help complete pre-planned works in agreed timescales
- Communicate well (verbally and in writing) with colleagues and clients
- Works harmoniously with others, helping to generate a positive team atmosphere
- Assist with production of material requisitions and procurement of materials and equipment
- To ensure completion of electronic systems and certification as required
Qualifications
- Experience in dealing with all types of Electrical & Mechanical maintenance work with ability to test
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices
- Strong customer care focus
- Full driving licence
- Able to work at height and follow working at height procedures
- Self-Motivated and able to work under own initiative
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to work individually or as part of a team
- Must hold NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation
- Level 3 award in Initial & Periodic Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations desirable
- Experience of minor fabric / mechanical repairs.
- Mechanical or Plumbing would be advantageous
- Able to cope under pressure
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Must pass an enhanced DBS check
Working Hours
Core working week of 40 hours
Salary
£33000 to £41600pa DOE
