My client is involved in the Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear and Marine sectors specialising in mission-critical, highly secure communications and electronic systems.

They are currently looking for a DV Cleared 1st/2nd line Infrastructure Engineer for a perm position near Ruislip.

NB!! Please note this is not a Network Engineer position

Based on site you will be a primary on-site support engineer for a number of mission critical systems spread over the London area. You will be integral to the maintenance and development of key projects for the business to include; the management, configuration, installation and support of secure IT and communications solutions.

Required for this position are:

• 3+ years' experience
• Experience of Microsoft Windows Workstation design, configuration, deployment, management and support; including windows infrastructure services, hardening, group policy and backup. Microsoft Certification (MCSE or equivalent) would be an advantage
• HP Server and Workstation configuration and administration
• Experience of infrastructure support, anti-virus and patching
• Experience of the full engineering lifecycle; design/development, test and acceptance, configuration management, in service support
• The ability to meet with customers, manage and build relationships and to think creatively to overcome challenges.
• Willing to travel within the UK and overseas if required
• Holder of a full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel, when required

It would be desirable if you had 1 or more of the following:

• CompTIA, CCNA or networking certification
• Cyber and Security experience.
• Firewall and/or router configuration experience.
• Linux administration and configuration
• Experience of Microsoft Windows Server design, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, configuration, deployment, management and support; including windows infrastructure services, hardening, active directory, exchange server, group policy and backup.
• Hyper-V, VMWare certification or equivalent industry virtualization experience an advantage
