Trainee Hydraulic Technician

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Trainee Hydraulic Technician required in a permanent role based in Hayes at a global aviation company. The role involves learning the skills and techniques involved in working around hydraulic units for landing gear on aircraft.

Responsibilities and duties

• Learn to assemble, disassemble, inspect and test hydraulic units to be installed on landing gear. You may be asked to help out in other departments.
• Learn to read and use co-ordinate measuring machines.
• Use measuring equipment to check assembly and to work out the torque values on the units.
• You will be required to keep a PREB (Practical Record Experience Book)
• Any tasks or duties undertaken should follow in compliance to company and EASA safety/environmental standards

Skills and Qualifications

The role is that of a trainee so the ideal candidate must fulfil the following requirements:

• Educated to at least GCSE Level.
• Previous experience working within a mechanical and hydraulics environment (Desirable)
• Candidate to have completed apprenticeship or equivalent (Desirable)
• Ability to work in a workshop environment and follow safety procedures, wearing correct PPE and safety materials at all times.
• Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English.
• Candidate must have full working rights in the UK.

Candidates would be required to work Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30
