
Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Trainee Hydraulic Technician required in a permanent role based in Hayes at a global aviation company. The role involves learning the skills and techniques involved in working around hydraulic units for landing gear on aircraft.
Responsibilities and duties
- Learn to assemble, disassemble, inspect and test hydraulic units to be installed on landing gear. You may be asked to help out in other departments.
- Learn to read and use co-ordinate measuring machines.
- Use measuring equipment to check assembly and to work out the torque values on the units.
- You will be required to keep a PREB (Practical Record Experience Book)
- Any tasks or duties undertaken should follow in compliance to company and EASA safety/environmental standards
Skills and Qualifications
The role is that of a trainee so the ideal candidate must fulfil the following requirements:
- Educated to at least GCSE Level.
- Previous experience working within a mechanical and hydraulics environment (Desirable)
- Candidate to have completed apprenticeship or equivalent (Desirable)
- Ability to work in a workshop environment and follow safety procedures, wearing correct PPE and safety materials at all times.
- Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English.
- Candidate must have full working rights in the UK.
Candidates would be required to work Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30
