Project Manager Project Manager, Hybrid Role ideally based in the Midlands.Purpose of the Role Deliver the target operating model for the clients safe system of work (SSoW). Work with the senior team to complete an initial scoping exercise to finalise deliverables, timetable, costs, and resource requirements. Ensure the business makes the right decisions RE its customer commitments and safe working practices where relating to operation and work on private networks and customers. Engagement will be on a fixed term basis for 3 - 6 months. Key Deliverables & Success Criteria Deliverables highlighted in green are where the post holder will be primarily focused in the immediate term. Deliverables highlighted in yellow are those that may not be required subject to decisions made regarding the SSoW operating model.

1 | Finalise scoping, project planning and cost/benefit analysis for the project. Establish key starting / design principles e.g. Local vs Central Control | Baselined programme plan in place, resource requirements clear, estimates of time are suitable and accurate. All key dependencies are mapped and risks identified and logged. |
2 | Produce design / architecture document that clearly and simply articulates the SSoW operating model | Presentation produced that articulates what the SSoW is, why it's important and how we intend it to operate. |
3 | Complete relevant organisational design associated with operation of the Client SSoW. | Resources secured, notified of their responsibilities and ready to manage compliance and sustainability of the Client SSoW |
4 | Collect requirements relevant to the delivery of "authorisation training" to ensure these align with the SSoW appropriately | Secure approval on training requirements from relevant SME's and technical advisory (external) |
5 | Engage with external technical advisory to ensure the operating model principles are appropriate for the Client SSoW | The business has assurance that the SSoW is appropriately designed and fit for purpose |
6 | Ensure all relevant documentation to support the effective running of the client SSoW is written to a high standard, catalogued, and communicated. | Documentation is published and communicated to the business. Relevant training and introduction of new processes is launched to all affected colleagues. |
7 | Assess suitability of current training provider (PPL) where relating to network authorisation training. Both from a technical and commercial perspective | Clarity on suitability of current training provider, amendment to existing scope / contract, if possible, to meet Client requirement. |
8 | Assess forward estimates of costs associated with training commitment and OPEX budget requirement for Client | Forecast in place that articulates cost commitment for the business where relating to training for Client SSoW and |
9 | Complete sourcing exercise (if required) for appropriate training provider following approval of training requirement and assessment of current provider | Tender documentation completed following appropriate PQQ activity with the supply chain to identify options |
10 | Ensure training provision is in place to support the Client SSoW effectively. This could be with a new or existing provider | New contractual arrangements in place with selected 3rd party, effectively negotiated with procurement / commercial support. |
11 | Complete an assessment of the contract with client and decide on requirement to extend/terminate. | Secure decision from project board / exec on retention or cessation of service. Notify Client of decision. |
