Mechanical / Electrical Workshop Fitters

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a number of skilled Mechanical Fitters and Electrical/ Mechanical Fitters for a well-known large engineering company based in Haydock.

These Mechanical/ Elec-Mech Fitter roles are on a permanent basis has come available due to growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who has previous experience working with different types of industrial pumps, motors, and gearboxes. Role Responsibilities will include:

Electrical Mechanical Fitters will be responsible for:

• You will carry out general overhaul and repair of all rotating equipment including motors (AC/DC), pumps of types, gearboxes (mainly inline) and other rotating equipment such as generators.

Both Mechanical and Elec/ Mech Fitters will be responsible for:

• Provide day to day rotating equipment repairs
• Take direct hands-on involvement in major repairs and contracts.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of individual jobs.
• Ensure the compliance to quality standards and systems
• Ensure safe working practices to Health, Safety, and the environmental legislation. Ensure the security of all plant and equipment.

Skills and Experience required:

• Experience working from technical drawings
• Previous experience working with PVC pipework, valves, and fittings etc.
• Basic welding skills is desired but not essential
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
