Tooling and Equipment Controller

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Tooling and Equipment Controller to join a very well known Aviation MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul) company based in Hayes.

The position will control all tooling and equipment for the manufacturing/engineering teams, this will include ensuring all precision tools are regularly calibrated using an external provider, and liaising with different departments

Responsibilities:

• Identify any damage or maintenance requirements for tooling.

• Take collections of calibrated tools and carry out visual inspections.

• Monitor tooling and equipment requirement for engineering and production teams.

• Record calibration requirements liaising with external calibration provider to arrange services.
• Ensure all calibrated tools are controlled and accounted for.
• Record data on internal IT system.
• Report to senior management on any issues or delays.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within an engineering stores environment or tool hire business.
• Previous experience handling calibrated tools is preferable however training can be provided.
• knowledge of the Aerospace/Aviation/Part145 environment is highly advantageous but not essential.
• Good IT skills, Any experience using SAP/MRP systems is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to at lift heavy equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player.
