Quite a unique role within the team. Working on internal projects for example GDPR, IR35, Brexit and liaising with key internal stakeholders and cross function work with legal and HR departments.Key attributes:
- Highly organised
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Policy thinker
- Procurement experience (good transferable skill set can come from governments, councils, legal or charity sector - not manufacturing)
Key activities will include:
- Develop and amend procurement and commercial policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Represent the S&A team and Procurement on internal projects; advising, communicating / presenting and influencing.
- Project managing internal corporate cross-function projects; progress reporting, seeking approvals, programme planning.
Key skills include:
- Minimum of 3 years working within a procurement and commercial function.
- Effective stakeholder engagement.
- Project management skills.
- Developing standards and procedures and policy writing.
- Policy and regulation focused rather than contracts
