Electrical Engineer £41,000pa + great benefits Slough, Full time- Permanent Work Pattern - 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday 7am-4pm / 8am-5pm There is a requirement for out of hours call out approx. 1 in every 6 weeks on a rota basis 6pm to 7am Mon-Sun £90 per week + paid overtime for site attendance We are pleased to present this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, diligent, focused individual that really want to make a difference in an exciting, state of the art facility. Reporting into the Hard Services Supervisor your focus will be maintenance and reactive activity to a wide range of Electrical Building Services equipment. You will undertake within your levels of competency, inspection and reactive activity covering a wide range of Mechanical Building Services equipment ensuring the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on the site. Consistent relevant experience is essential; this will suit someone with proven experience in electrical building services and plant engineering with a good all-round working knowledge of mechanical systems and relevant qualifications. Responsibilities:

  • The Electrical Engineer isolates defective equipment from power supply, checks visually for faults, tests mechanical parts for faults, isolates the problem areas and take corrective action to repair the problem.
  • The Electrician conforms to safety rules and apply good engineering and safety practices
  • Must be willing to undertake company standard internal training workshops and work to GMP, (good manufacturing practice).
  • The Electrical Engineer will preferable have multi skilled background with a good understanding of HVAC systems.

Skills/Qualifications

  • C&G 2382-12 (18th Edition BS7671:2008) ideally with C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Must hold UK driving licence
  • Consistent relevant experience in electrical building services and plant engineering with a good all-round working knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Previous appointment as AP/CP for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights (preferred)
  • IT Literate
