Quantity Surveyor

Our client has a reputation for delivering some of the most prestigious civil engineering, infrastructure and public realm projects in the UK. They are well established within our core markets and have a diverse project portfolio - typically acting as specialist sub-contractor on sub and super-structure, demolition, hard & soft landscaping and enabling & infrastructure works. Our Client is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor for an exciting project.

The project will be worth circa £20m and will run for 42 weeks and see a team of approximately 65 on site.

The scope of works includes:

• Substructure concrete works comprising pile caps and pad foundations
• Process equipment RC pits & plinths
• Ground floor industrial floor slab and upper composite slabs
• External civils works including roads construction (excluding tarmac works), service yard RC slabs, external foul and surface water drainage networks.

Works also include constructing a 7m deep, circular cofferdam at 19m diameter to allow the excavation and construction of the VLM pilecap and embedded support ring (the VLM is a Vertical Layup Machine used for manufacturing the subsea cables). Once cast, the cofferdam is sacrificed, cut to level and a circular retaining wall cast. Our client has temporary works design responsibility for the cofferdam, temporary steel support structure which supports the large cast in HD ring as well as the bespoke formwork design.
