Package£22,000 - £25,000 PA. 28 days holiday (including bank holidays). 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. Company vehicle, equipment and PPE supplied. Training and support to help develop your career.

About this roleWorking in the water industry maintaining sensors that detect water leaks is crucial to sustaining this vital resource which we all use and need in our day to day lives. This role would suit somebody who enjoys driving, working outside, have a good work ethic and time keeping. Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful applicant will join our team maintaining sensors installed on the water network across Southern Water, South London and Thames Valley. You will be reliable, outcome focussed, with good communication skills and the ability to solve problems and overcome challenges. The Trainee Water Network Field Technician role is physical in nature and requires driving and working outside, in all weathers. The Trainee Water Network Field Technician role includes;
  • Driving to different locations in the required county.
  • Locating water network assets.
  • Maintaining water leak sensors and replacement.
  • Programming sensors and uploading data.
  • Recording and reporting on work completed.
  • Attending regular progress meetings with the Team Leader.
Skills and experience
  • Good work ethic and timekeeping.
  • Lives in Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex or Kent.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for completing reports and record keeping.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
