Electrical Fitter

Carbon60 are currently looking for Electrical Fitter to work for a large engineering company based in Cardiff. This position is working on a contract basis with a potential to go perm.

Our client is a large engineering company with over 200 sites across the UK and Ireland. They are continuously growing and looking for individuals to join their Cardiff site.

About the role:

• Workshop electrical and mechanical fitting- train to develop as a electrical winder. complete repairs to time and tolerance right first time. promote H&S
• General fitting.
• Dismantling of motors, gearbox's, pumps, fan units etc. on mechanically and electrically rotating equipment.
• Identification of faults and parts required to carry out a full repair.
• Fill out damage report card and identify failure mode.
• Fully assemble the asset with new parts required and identified in a timely manner.
• Maintaining high quality repair and service.
• Have a very high understanding and attitude towards Safety within the workshop and to other employees.
• Must be a team player and have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others within the team.
• Removal and re installation of equipment from customers site when required.

About you:

• Driving license
• Worked on motors
• Worked on gearboxes
• Happy to be on call 24/7/365
• Ability to rewind would be preferred but not needed
• Works well in a team
• Can work on their own under their own initiative

The role will involve working standard Monday - Friday day shifts with the opportunity to work overtime and to work on site with customers on some occasions.

There is an on call rota which you will be a part of within the team, this is generally a rotating rota, 1 night a week. You are paid for being on call and also paid overtime should you have call outs.

There is a potential of additional overtime due to current workloads so you are able to boost your earnings!
