Project Manager (E&I) Northern England/ Scotland Salary: Circa £55k + car allowance, performance related bonusSummary We're looking for a Project Manager to join the Infrastructure Solutions team. Responsible for the day-to-day running of EC&I (Electrical, Control and Instrumentation) projects and provide supervisory support to the project delivery teams. Role:

  • Labour Planning:ensure that utilisation of workforce (including sub-contractors) is optimised
  • Work with Contract Manager and other Project Managers to plan short and medium-term labour requirements.
  • Planning and management of work orders: plan, organise, coordinate and control works orders in liaison with, Contracts Manager and Client and monitor work progress, ensuring that all works are risk assessed, customer requirements are met,
  • Budgetary and Quality Control: manage all work to ensure it is carried out within budget, deadlines and technical standards. Deal with any costs that may exceed those agreed in the budget.
  • Project management: Managing projects in line with project time deliverable, whilst at the same time, making sure the project is in line with cost and KPOI requirements. Identifying any cost effectiveness for the project and risk management.
  • Provide technical design and specification for all types of contracts of varying size, to ensure maximum profit contribution consistent with customer requirements and potential commercial/technical issues.
  • Lead and manage the teams of Supervisors and Operatives to ensure a high level of motivation.

Requirements

  • Experienced in Electrical/Instrumentation practices in a petrochemical environment
  • Experienced in planning and managing work programmes and effective resource utilisation.
  • Proven ability to identify, design, quote and deliver profitable projects.
  • Thorough understanding of technical drawings and design practices.
  • Commercial awareness: balances customer requirements, commercial priorities and technical design to deliver best return for the depot.
  • Experienced in managing commercial/contractual risks.
  • Proven expertise in contract administration, financial control (forecasting at Project Manager's account level and cashflow management i.e. WIP and debt) and management of contracts.
  • Flexibility on work location, travel is essential with this role
