Network Project Engineer - Cable Installation Projects

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the automotive and food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes electrical, process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the automotive and food industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a network project engineer to join the Automotive Services division, managing data comms installation projects across the UK.
Duties
As an experienced and qualified network project engineer based in the company's regional office in Castle Bromwich, you will be working with a range of clients on various manufacturing facilities across the UK. Primary responsibilities will be to deliver "above ground" fibre optics, data and voice datacomms, installation projects from inception to completion including all labour and material requirements. You will be managing complex network infrastructure works in excess of £500k in commercial and industrial buildings, ensuring projects are delivered, on-time, within budget and to the required quality and service level agreement standards. The role will require you to work closely with customers, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure the scope of installation works are fully understood so contracts are delivered to meet or exceed expectations. Other duties will include producing accurate and detailed quotations, risk assessments, method statements for site installations along with project buy off documents.
About You
Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B24 9QG.
Experience of managing the installation of complex fibre optics, data and voice datacomms networks within commercial or industrial buildings is essential for this role.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
