Mechanical Fitter Peterborough PE2 7BY. 10 Hours per day, 7 days per week, 4 - 6 weeks. Contract position: Monday - Friday 7.00am - 17.30pm (Paid 10 hours) The company is a world leading provider of machine installation and relocation services. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical fitter to join the company, supporting a major project in Peterborough, PE2 7BY. Duties As an experienced mechanical fitter you will be working within a major new build manufacturing facility in Peterborough. Primary responsibilities will be to assist with the installation of the new canning line. Specifically installing high vacuum filling systems, product treatment equipment, packing and palletising lines with the associated components, in line with the schedule of works. In addition, you'll be installing conveyors - rollers and bearings, machine supports, machine guards, secondary steel work, gantries and walkways. There will be other mechanical fitting duties as required and instructed by the site engineering team. About you Based ideally in Peterborough you will need to live within a commutable distance of PE2 7BY. Travel expenses and accommodation costs aren't covered with this role. Demonstrable experience of industrial machine installation and maintenance with hands-on knowledge of process plant and equipment installations along with a strong mechanical engineering background is essential for this role. IPAF or B2 (5000Kg - 15000Kg) fork lift license is preferred. Interested? In return for your experience you will receive a salary between £21.00 and £23.00 per hour as well as a range of benefits.
