Winder

Carbon60 are currently looking for a Winder to work for a large engineering company based in Grimsby. This position is working on a contract basis.

Our client is a large engineering company with over 200 sites across the UK and Ireland. They are continuously growing and looking for an individual to join their Grimsby site.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Testing of AC/DC electrical motor winding.
• Correct use of burnout techniques
• Detailing of AC/DC motor windings
• Rewinding of same.
• Connection and Testing of Windings.
• Impregnation and Stoving methods
• Use of specialist tools
• Assistance with other key tasks within the workshop

Person Specification:

• Formal training or qualification in winding within a motor environment
• Experience with both AC and DC winding (just AC will be considered)
• you need to be confident in carrying out fitting tasks as well as winding

The role will involve working standard Monday - Friday day shifts with the opportunity to work overtime and to work on site with customers on some occasions. We are looking to start interviews promptly.
