Their vision is to be the customers' first choice for the manufacture of mission critical, high technology electronics, adding value globally and they are dedicated to delivering innovation and service excellence by investing in design, build and fulfilment of their Customers ProductsPURPOSE OF ROLE As Test and Development Engineer, you will support the Engineering Power department in the development, and manufacture of High-Power Electronics (PE) components and assemblies, including tooling, fixtures, and test equipment.PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform, assess and report early-stage process development with hands-on build and testing of prototypes * To optimise manufacturing and test methods with hands-on build and testing of prototypes * To develop, manage and maintain product test and verification functions, including external testing, specification of equipment, measurement analysis and reporting. * To apply and maintain in-house and external quality systems used in our engineering processes and practices for the manufacturing and verification of products. * To provide professional and technical expertise and feedback to support the Power team * Meet department and company objectives. * Develop professional and personal skills through education, training, and development within the team and externallyTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS * Qualified to HND level or equivalent, through relevant experience, as a minimum in mechanical, electrical or production engineering (a degree in an engineering discipline preferred). * Sound knowledge and practical experience of CAD modelling and creating detail drawings (Solidworks preferred). * Ability to analyse build and verification test requirements and apply appropriate practical methods to meet specification criteria * Good working experience of Engineering manufacturing and verification processes and their selection to meet specified requirements * Experience of planning and prioritising personal workload * Capable of supporting concept developments using 'Design of Experiment' practice. * To have managed root cause analysis processes, using problem-solving techniques and implementing corrective actions, including 8D, 5WHY, Ishikawa. * Knowledge of quality standards ISO9001, IATF16949, and test standards under RTCA / MIL would be advantageous. * Experience of managing customer and supplier related product quality issues. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both with internal and external stakeholders. * Computer literate and adept with Microsoft office toolset
