Carbon60 are currently working in partnership with a leading engineering company that specializes in the development and build of special purpose machinery incorporating laser technology to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant.

The role will be based on site and their state of the art manufacturing site in Abingdon. This is a full-time permanent position that will be based on site Monday to Friday.

The Role:

• Working alongside the Finance Manager and Finance Director to manage all financial activity within the business.
• Purchase Ledger Management:

Creation and agreement of purchase orders.

Invoice Management

Client screening

Credit checks.

• Sales Ledger Management

Raising customer invoices

Credit Control

Quarterly reviews and ledger maintenance.

• Bank reconciliation.
• Month end accounts reviews.
• Processing expenses.
• TAX and VAT returns.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 1 - 2 years previous experience in a financial position.
• Previous experience working with ERP systems.
• AAT qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent IT skills able to learn and use different IT systems.
• Analytical mindset.

The role is full time on site 37.5 hours per week with start and finish time negotiable.
