A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Noise Strategy Manager has arisen to join my blue-chip Client in the London area, in a permanent position offering flexible hybrid working. Primarily working with the Head of Noise Strategy, the Senior Noise Strategy Manager will be experienced in aspects of the sustainability agenda and will lead the drafting, public consultation, delivery and reporting of my Client's Noise Action Plan in compliance with the legislation and associated guidance to ensure alignment with the Sustainability Plan.

The Senior Noise Strategy Manager has a specific focus on the technical work across the noise agenda in my client's sector and is responsible for establishing the appropriate network of engagement/collaboration forums with various stakeholders to progress the NAP. The position is expected to take the lead on emerging technology development in my client's sector.

The Role

The role of Senior Noise Strategy Manager will involve, but not be limited to:

• Provide technical support on noise to colleagues in the sustainability team and wider business including in relation to impacts associated with change or emerging technology.
• Lead the drafting, public consultation & engagement, delivery, reporting and auditing of the NAP in accordance with the legislation and statutory guidance.
• Ensure close collaboration with the carbon strategy and other teams - seeking alignment where appropriate on the methods for technical monitoring, forecasting and interpretation/communication.
• Act as a technical contact point with internal and external stakeholders on noise issues, seeking internal legal advice where necessary to establish and assert my client's position
• Advise and support the operational business units to maintain compliance with all environmental noise and planning regulations and objectives.
• Work with the Head of Noise Strategy, to develop communications and engagement tools to enable internal and external stakeholders to understand the role they play in improving noise performance.
• Represent my client in key industry noise task forces or forums.
• Identify and initiate areas of new operational research.
• Support the Head of Noise Strategy in influencing policy and regulation through stakeholder engagement and drafting responses to public consultations.
• Keep up to date with and advise the business on external policy, best practice, technological developments, and the impacts of proposed changes, identifying anticipating risks and opportunities for noise management at the business.
• Assist in the development of business cases where a solution is required to tackle a noise &/or sustainability need

Qualifications and Experience

The Senior Noise Strategy Manager will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Experienced in the development of environmental management plans generally and ideally experience of delivering Environmental Noise Action Plans.

• Good interpersonal and communication, presentation and influencing skills with attention to detail and a passion for driving business change.

• Broad knowledge of current and future legislation, statutory requirements and good practice relating to environmental noise impacts

• Extensive experience of environmental management generally

• Experience of data & cost benefit analysis, reporting and presentation for environmental projects and decision making

• Excellent understanding of my client's strategic agenda and stakeholder management challenges

• Experience of working with virtual teams and achieving results through others

• Must be comfortable with sporadic travel internationally.
