Mechanical Pipefitter (Berkshire)
Carbon 60 is looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for its leading facilities management client based near Reading
Salary is £32000 pa PAYE
Working hours are 7.45am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with every other Friday off (9 day fortnight)
You will be required to build pipe systems from drawings, schematics and specifications using pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Duties/responsibilities/accountabilities/deliverables
- Be able to read and understand Mechanical Layout Drawings
- Be able to plan tasks given to carry out effectively and efficiently
- Follow Health & Safety Guidelines and use Personal Protective Equipment
- Strong Communication skills
Candidate Profile
- Good experience using trade related power tools
- Good experience fabricating copper pipework using soldered and compression fittings.
- Experience (though not essential) fabricating copper pipework using Pressfit systems
- Good experience fabricating black and galvanised steel pipework
- Experience (though not essential) fabricating pipework using Swagelok system
- Experience and understanding installing pipework to the following systems:
- Have good experience fabricating bracketry systems to include Unistrut supports
- Have good experience in hydraulic pressure testing
- Able to lift up to 25Kg
- Trained and awarded CSCS Card (though not essential)
- Trained and awarded IPAF (though not essential)
- Must be in possession of a valid Driving Licence
