HGV Technician - City of London

We are currently recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join our City of London Team. You would join a well-known established company who specialise in providing solutions for Ecological Transformation.

Roles and responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the day to day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGV's.
• You will keep our HGV's safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers.
• Responsible for carrying out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe.
• Ensure all workshop tools, personal tools and welding equipment must be secured and where possible locked away each night. Welding and electrical equipment should be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use.
• Attend roadside breakdowns if required and work as part of a team.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
• Hold a HGV driving licence.
• Supply your own comprehensive tool kit.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday (Overtime available when required)

Permanent Role

Location: City Of London

Salary: £37k - £44k - Congestion charge paid: Saving you £15 per day or £3,900 per year for an employee on a normal Mon-Fri shift pattern.
