Prototype Technician - Electrical

Prototype Technician - Electrical Carbon60 are currently looking for an electrically biased Prototype Technician for one of our market-leading, innovative Automotive clients based in Coventry. They are seeking for an individual to support the business' growth aspirations and continue the production of disruptive, patented products whilst making strides towards a greener world along the way.Working Hours: 07:45 - 16:15, Monday - Thursday. 07:45 - 14:00, Friday. Salary: Up to £45,000 based on previous experience and qualificationsResponsibilities: The role of the Electrical Prototype Technician is to support the production process by supporting the build of components into sub-assemblies (both LV and HV), all the way to electrical activities involved in final vehicle assembly.Essential Experience/Requirements: Our client is looking for and individual with previous experience in the build of low-volume prototype vehicles. Including (but not limited to) the following Electrical Build elements:

• LV harness building
• LV harnesses installation
• HV harnesses installation
• HV battery pack handling and installation
• Full HV systems build ups and installation (pack connections, inverters, motors, battery control modules, DC-DC / AC-DC converters, control modules)
• Fusebox build and population
• HV Authorised Person (or equivalent trained)
• Ability to create, read, interpret and question electrical harness drawings and schematics
• Ability to support electrical fault-finding and correction activities on both LV and HV Circuits

Desirable Experience/Requirements:

• Knowledge of basic CAN diagnostics equipment
• Awareness of test vehicle commissioning and shakedown processes/procedures
• Awareness of basic test and verification instrumentation activities and components.
• Awareness of component and vehicle level DVP testing and gathering associated data.
• Full UK Driving License (ability to drive up to and including C1-E desirable)
• UK Passport or equivalent
• Willing to travel occasionally
