Pipefitter Welder - Working Supervisor

4 Month + Contract Position - Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm, may lead to other opportunities
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipefitter welder - working supervisor to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a pipework and plant installation project in Lincoln, LN4 1NJ.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipefitter welder - working supervisor, you will be working on site at a food production facility in Lincoln. Primary duties will include fabricating and butt welding 1" to 4" OD thinwall stainless steel pipework, with a small amount of schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4" diameter and carbon steel up to 6".You'll also be fabricating brackets and the associated supports. Other duties will include overseeing a small team of pipefitter welders - 4, typically, coordinating the daily workload, resolving site installation issues, ensuring materials are available and working with the project engineer to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest standard.
About You
Based ideally in Lincolnshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of LN4 1NJ.
Demonstrable experience of pipefitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding within a food, drink or petro-chemical processing environment.
You'll also need to have site supervisory experience with SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.
