Carbon 60 are working with a fantastic company based in Avonmouth. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to start ASAP.
Pay : £45,000 + Company Van
Hours : 37.5 hours per week 08:00-16:30 Monday - Thursday, Friday 0800-1330

Overall Purpose: |
Due to our expansion plans, we wish to recruit an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to provide both factory and site mechanical leadership.
As a key member of our operations team, you will have the opportunity to oversee our mechanical production and site operations. The role will be very hands on and cover all aspects of processes including production supervision, mechanical assembly, installation, inspection & testing.
This role requires previous experience of supervising and inspection in a mechanical engineering environment.
* Supervising mechanical operations to ensure all aspects of the order cycle through enquiry, tendering, order acceptance, order fulfillment to invoicing and order delivery. * Responsible for delivering Customer Satisfaction by ensuring that the company meets or exceeds commitments (including deliveries, responsiveness, status updates, correspondence, documentation, and technical reports) in a timely, professional manner.
Ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment by adherence to HSQE requirements, driving continuous improvement, managing resources to maximise efficiency and meet company objectives. |

Customer Focused ➢ Ensuring that specific Customer requirements are exceeded and opportunities for improvement are embraced. ➢ Liaise with the Sales team to follow up quotations. ➢ Ensure timely manner of contractual obligations to the Customer.
Performance Focused ➢ Operate to high standards of Quality & HSE by ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards. ➢ Maintain operational plans to achieve financial and operational goals. ➢ Actively participate in Business Excellence activities. ➢ Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and upgraded to meet required future growth.

Person Specification - Qualifications and/or Experience required: |
Mechanical experience in a material handling/bespoke machinery environment ➢ HNC/HND in electro/mechanical engineering is desirable. ➢ 5 or more years production/site supervision experience in a similar role. ➢ Experience preparing RAMS and report writing. ➢ Ability to read technical/working drawings. ➢ Good written and communication skills. ➢ Good interpersonal skills. ➢ Mechanical supervision. ➢ Mechanical works testing and inspection. ➢ Control of resource, improving labour efficiency. ➢ Personnel and people development. ➢ Driving quality improvement, control of documentation
