Carbon60 are working with a fantastic company based in Avonmouth. We are currently recruiting for a HSQE Coordinator to cover a 1 year maternity contract.

Pay : £32,500 per annum

Hours : 37.5 hours per week 08:00-16:30 Monday - Thursday, Friday 0800-1330

Overall Purpose:

The HSQE Co-ordinator will report directly to the HSQE Manager. The role will be office-based to assist the HSQE Manager in all aspects required to maintain the organisations accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001, 14001, and Achilles Verify B2 Audit Scheme. The role will also include integrating, managing, and improving the Health & Safety and Environmental practices into the current Management System. It will also include occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the HSQE Manager in the implementation and maintenance of the business management systems to ISO9001, 14001 and Achilles Verify B2 and ensure the proper implementation of all HSQE plans and procedures.

* Assist the HSQE Manager to implement an integrated management system to meet the requirements of ISO9001, 14001 and 45001.

* Assist the HSQE Manager to prepare and develop Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental strategies and policies

* Assist in general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support HSQE management.

* Observe HSQE regulations, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.

* Ensuring all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation is adhered to, and Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all relevant legislation.

* Provide advice and assistance on HSQE issues and make recommendations to management.

* Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.

* Assist in the planning and monitoring the protective and preventative measures used by the company.

* Maintaining in-house training records with internal managers

* Maintain relevant HSQE logs and documentation.

* Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.

* Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSQE training

* Observe HSQE regulations, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.

* Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.

* Comply with all Company Policies and HSQE Manual & procedures.

Specific Tasks Include

Complete / update external Pre-qualification Questionnaires.

Order/issue PPE and maintain records.

Undertake Monthly safety inspection & produce a report for management.

Input to the monthly HSQE report.

Undertake and record in-house fire checks including fire doors (monthly) / fire alarms (weekly)/ fire extinguishers (monthly) / fire warden / fire drills.

* Arrange servicing for fire alarms & emergency lights.

* Arrange servicing for security system.

* Test & record emergency lighting - monthly.

* Training - arrange and maintain database.

* Health and safety meetings - produce agenda & minutes.

* Arrange, or ensure that statutory inspections are arranged for the following: (maintain records) o Pressure systems

o LEV

o Lifting equipment (cranes/FLT/chains/harnesses)

* Arrange calibration of escape sets/gas monitors - maintain records.

* Arrange any health surveillance for employees (when required).

* Maintain Business Continuity Management Plan and Emergency Preparedness Plan.

* Maintain accident/incident records/RIDDOR reporting/investigate, as necessary.

* Carry out Internal Audits of the MS in line with the audit schedule.

* Produce Method statements

* Produce Risk Assessments

* COSHH Management

* Document control (manual, procedures, protocols, SD)

Person Specification - Qualifications and/or Experience required:

* NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent

* CQI Certificate/Diploma in Quality Management

* Internal Auditor

* Proven experience of a HSQE Co-ordinator in a manufacturing environment

* ISO9001, 14001, 18001/45001 Experience

* Proven experience in driving changes and improvements
