£70,000 per year + Car Allowance
The Role
My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical food industry background in the west midlands or northwest area to join their team and contribute to the company vision and success. You will work closely with the senior members of the team. You will manage the Project from start to finish by assisting the development of project opportunities from concept through to handover.
Key responsibilities:
- Scheme development, Enquiry assessment, Engineering scope determination
- Commercial risk management of the p
- Prepare estimates and prices for work opportunities.
- Assist with bid proposals & contract negotiations.
- Support Sales in the securing of work for the project business
- Plan and manage resources allocated to a project.
- Plan and manage subcontract resources associated with a project.
- Own the P&L in areas given the responsibility.
- Coordinate the site management team / provide management support.
- Scheduling project programme
- Create, issue, and maintain timing plans.
- Liaise and coordinate with design engineers and the manufacturing team.
- Dealing with contract variations and preparing new quotations.
- Compiling and/or coordinating the preparation of risk assessments and method statements for site installations.
- Liaising with the Customer/business relationship development
- Ensuring completion of the project to the customer requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of final project documentation.
- Compile and present Project Reports.
- Report progress, manage risks and respond to issues.
- Customer facing business development support.
- Build & develop strong client relationships.
- Develop with the support of senior team members into a project management role.
About You
You will need:
- Must have a mechanical degree or equivalent.
- Flexible and prepared to travel nationally.
- Food industry factory experience would be highly desirable.
- Can manage multiple parallel projects.
- Have strong people management skills.
- Demonstrate a confident and determined approach.
- Have a high degree of enthusiasm and self-motivation.
- Be target-driven with the desire to achieve results.
- Be resilient and able to cope under pressure.
- Have strong customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrate good numeracy and analytical skills.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and negotiate with people at all levels.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work without supervision take ownership, accountability and make decisions without daily guidance.
