Finance Manager

Are you looking for a new role in Finance.

Carbon60 are currently working in partnership with a leading advanced engineering company that specialise in bespoke machine builds incorporating laser technology based in Abingdon. There are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager who will be responsible for the overall day to day management of all Financial functions within the business.

This will be managing a small finance team of 3 - 4 of varied seniority, this position will also be required to liaise with the US arm of the business as well.

Based at there new state of the art facility, this business truly has a family feel and has seen continued and steady growth year on year.

Duties:

• Day-to-day transactional work - posting invoices, bank reconciliations, credit control and ledger management.

• Month end reporting - responsibility for the month end reporting packs to include preparation, analysis and commentary. This will include preparing and posting journals.

• Management of inter-company positions UK and US.

• Reporting and liaising with the group and subsidiary companies to provide analysis and month end reporting.

• Maintenance of policies, procedures and compliance requirements including:

o Financial controls

o Expense policies

o Taxation

o Statutory returns and reporting

o Export controls

• Budgeting, forecasting and reporting - preparation of annual budgets and forecasts as required.

• Payroll and remuneration processing.

• Treasury and management of day-to-day banking.

• Management of accounting staff

Experience Required:

• Relevant qualification in Finance.
• Experience of working with ERP software and IT systems
• Good understanding of PAYE and VAT
• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Good communicator
• Strong attention to detail
• Sound and up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations, including UK GAAP and US GAAP
• Business acumen and a commercial awareness
• Critical thinking and good analytical skills
• Sound decision making
• Hands on approach and capable of meeting tight deadlines
