Bush Fit Honer

Do you come from a mechanical engineering background and have workshop experience? Are you a fast learner and good at using hand tools? Do you want to work for a reputable aviation engineering company who work on aircraft components? Are you looking for a night shift? Then look no further! One of the UK's most well-known aviation MRO providers are going through an impressive growth as their business demands have grown and continue to do so going into 2024. We are currently looking for bush honers to join the already brilliant team in Hayes. The role:

• Check component and bush log for accuracy.
• Install bushes / bearings. Check bushes dimensionally. Using workshop manuals and drawings.
• Using imperial calibrated measuring equipment.
• Use of cryogenics and ovens.
• Swage bushings with the suitable method (pressure, roller, stake, material displacing)

Working hours: This position will be a night shift Monday to Friday. 10pm to 6am. A shift allowance of around 30% will be allocated on top of the salary, for the night shift hours. Requirements:

• Familiar with the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets and data-based programmes
• Trained in machine shop technology and working practices
• Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred
• Engineering and mechanical background.
