Water Treatment Plant Operator

Carbon60 are hiring for a Water Treatment Plant Operative to join a large industrial water solutions company in Scarborough. This position can be permanent or on a contract basis.

The successful individual will operate the plant, monitor treatment of effluent water, carry out water analysis, implement operational changes and monitoring control activities.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operating plant equipment, including maintenance and cleaning.
• Operating a centrifuge and valves
• Gathering data
• Handling chemicals
• Testing water samples
• Continuous improvement
• Working in a team and alone

Requirements for the role:

• Experience operating plant machinery
• Working knowledge of water testing and collecting.
• NVQ, Degree, or relevant qualifications within the industry
• Strong Health and Safety knowledge / training
• Ability and experience to maintain and repair machinery

This Operations Technician position offers a rota of earlies and lates, no night shift.
