Role - WTG Foundations T&I Manager

Location - Hybrid - Glasgow

Start Date - December 2023

Duration - 12 Months + Possible Extension

Working Pattern - Monday-Friday (Occasional Site Visits outside of Office Hours)

Rates - £800 Daily Rate via Umbrella

Clearance - BPSS

Responsibilities:

  • Report to Marine Package Manager.
  • Management of T&I Foundation Installation (Tier 1) Contracts.
  • Health, safety, environmental and quality management of Tier 1 Contractors.
  • Manage & lead multi-disciplinary team including T&I Engineers, operational management, commercial and legal.
  • Planning of WTG Foundation preparatory works, load out, transport and installation bearing in mind subsequent project work packages.
  • Management of the execution of WTG foundation preparation and load-out operations at fabrication and marshalling harbours.
  • Management of Employer Representatives.
  • Management of Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Management of key interfaces including WTG foundation designer, WTG foundation fabricator together with T&I contractor.
  • Risk/Opportunity Management.
  • Coordination of vessel audits to facilitate access to site.
  • Interface with other project technical and commercial disciplines as necessary.
  • At all times act, behave and lead by example according to professional standards of conduct and values

Tasks:

  • Chair project progress meetings both internally and with external Contractors.
  • Review Contractor technical and operational T&I documentation.
  • Prepare regular progress reporting to package and senior management regarding the T&I scope.
  • Travel to Contractor's premises and site locations as necessary.
  • Provide technical and engineering support/leadership during project execution.

Delegated Authorities:

  • Budget authority appropriate to the scope and role.
  • The authority to stop the load-out, transportation and installation activities immediately if safety and/or quality become compromised.
  • To make operational decisions relating to vessel progress bearing in mind the interests of the project.

Requirements:

  • 5 years work experience within a similar industry and role.
  • Educated to degree level in relevant technical discipline such as mechanical or structural engineering (Chartered status desirable).
  • GWO suite of training certifications including First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights and Sea Survival (with HUET).
  • Offshore Medical including Chester Step Test.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely desired.
  • CDM and Maritime regulations experience.
  • Full UK Working Rights
