Looking for an exciting role in the Chemicals sector for a well established family-run company?

Quality Assurance Systems Manager Our client are an Independent, family-owned company manufacturing organic intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, Rubber, Polymer, Food & Beverage and allied industries. They operate from West Bromwich in the West Midlands and were established in 1869. An opportunity has arisen within their Quality Department for a full time Quality Assurance Systems Manager reporting directly to the Quality Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain, manage and assist in the development and implementation of the current Quality Management System in particular relation to software (e.g. LIMS, SAGE etc) and other Quality Assurance functions
  • Conduct audits of both internal and external management systems for compliance with company/regulatory requirements
  • Lead and support both Customer and Regulatory Audits (e.g. ISO 9001, GMP, Kosher)
  • Author and review Standard Operating Procedures and other Quality Assurance documentation
  • Maintain and improve the current Vendor Management systems
  • Conduct Deviation/Complaint investigations to identify root cause and establish appropriate actions
  • Support Change Control process (Internal and Customer/Regulatory requirements)
  • Support the reporting and interpretation of departmental KPI's
  • Support the delivery of site/departmental projects and objectives
  • Conduct Batch Record review and release for critical products
  • Provide QA related training to all departments across the business as required

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in a chemical or other technical manufacturing facility within the Quality Assurance function. You will be able to control and support core software systems within the Quality Management system and as such, have strong IT skills. You should also be a good communicator, be literate, numerate and have excellent team working skills.
