HSEQ Advisor - Bradford & Stockton-on-Tees

Job Title: HSEQ Advisor Company: OCIUSNET Location: Bradford & Stockton-on-Tees Reports to: HSEQ Director Responsible for: HSEQ Systems, HSEQ Advice, HSEQ Mentoring & Coaching Levels of Authority: As designated by HSEQ Director

Main Function of Role: Provide Legislative and regulation advice on all matters relating to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management.

Key Objectives: * To add value to Operations through sound advice and engagement * Write clear concise and easily understood procedures and reports * Assist and advise Operations on the suitability of Risk Assessments and Method Statements * Apply technical or specialist knowledge to observe, inspect and audit to identify strengths and weaknesses * To assist operations with accident investigation and take the lead in more serious events * Advise on Legislative and regulation updates.

Key Skills: * Have an entry level knowledge of Sharepoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint * Able to conduct incident reviews using preferably Topset methodology (or similar) * Able to undertake audits to the current versions of ISO9001, 14001, 45001 * Have interpersonal skills to work as part of a team: reliable, tolerant and be able to get on with others * Have a good level of commercial awareness and basic business finance * Have interpersonal skills to engage and respond positively with Stakeholders, such as Clients, Local Authorities, Customers and the general public Qualifications: * Nebosh Diploma or NVQ equivalent * Nebosh Certificate (Mandatory) * Membership of professional institution (IEMA, IOSH etc) Experience * Understand and have experience within the Utilities or Construction Industry * Have a basic knowledge of a FTTP fibre network
