Vehicle Testing Engineer

Carbon60 have had the pleasure of partnering with an astonishing company who specialise in the rebuild and testing of specialist vehicles. This esteemed company are based in Leyland and are looking for a Vehicle Testing Engineer specialising in electrical drives to join their team.

This Leyland based company specialise in the design, testing and prototyping of various commercial, industrial, and military automotive. This company have mind blowing facilities including indoor and outdoor test tracks.

Responsibilities will include:

• Liaise with customer engineers to obtain feedback relating to performance improvements.
• Develop improved systems of work, data handling and manipulation.
• Deliver test reports accurately (RFT) and on time (OTD)
• Work with other Engineers and Senior Engineers to design test and timing plans
• Competently and efficiently deliver tests to a high professional standard.
• Liaise with Technicians providing appropriate detail to ensure efficient testing.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of driveline mechanical fundamentals
• Knowledge of electric vehicle drive system fundamentals
• Driveline testing
• Test bed control system(s)
• CAN communications
• CAD system(s)
• High Voltage awareness (preferred)
• Instrumentation and data acquisition (preferred)

This Electrification Engineer position is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years' experience looking for a new challenge and with the nature of the company being what it is, this is an opportunity that doesn't come around often. This position requires the applying candidate to be flexible with shift patterns of:

• Week 1: 06:00am - 16:30pm
• Wee 2: 13:30pm - Midnight

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check and hold a full UK driving licence.
