I am currently recruiting for a proven Contracts Manager, for a permanent / staff position, with experience on large scale construction projects to join my Client's construction management team in London. The successful candidate will lead, review and red-line EPC and supply and subcontractor's contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) to best serve and protect corporate business interests. The role entails cross-functional collaboration primarily with the Legal Department and Senior Management. The EPC Contracts will be led by the Projects Director and the Supply Agreements will be built under a collaboration of the Contracts Manager and the Project Managers. The Contracts Manager will report to the Projects Director.

What are we looking for?

• Understanding of contract law and project risk management with experience JCT & FIDIC (Ideally Yellow Book) contracts
• Exposure to site construction and/or operation and maintenance issues
• Experience in leading high-level negotiations and resolving disputes.
• Strong communication, analytic and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and work effectively with project stakeholders.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and pro-activity skills
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
• Experience in an EPC provider, ideally demonstrating exposure to solar projects at global level.
• Open to candidates who are legally entitled to work in the UK

What will you be doing?

• Identify technical and commercial baselines and flow-down requirements.
• Highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk.
• Draft and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Develop strategy alongside project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and industry best practices.
• Support on project contractual issues, tenders and disputes.
• Represent my Client in meetings to enforce and defend its interests.
• Improve the quality and profitability of contracted services.
