Store person

GCU are a specialised contractor working in the Telecommunications sector in partnership with City Fibre, and they have a Store person role available in Gateshead

As a store person your purpose will be to make sure materials, plant and consumables are managed in and out of the Depot in accordance with GCU Work Procedures. You will be working in outdoor weather conditions in a very busy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Key owner of GCU Stock Management Process; Goods In/ Goods Out
• Key person manning the Service Desk/ Goods In Area
• Ensure that Stores Areas are ordered, clean and tidy preventing slips, trips and falls within the area
• Lead by example, wearing correct PPE for the area
• High level of accuracy/ attention to detail through Issue/ Returns and SAGE input

You will need:

• Familiar with computerised stock management packages such as Sage
• Experience in a stores environment (construction/ telecom desirable)
• High level of attention to detail
