Fibre Engineer or Cabling operative

Great opportunity for a Cabling Operative or Fibre Engineer to play a major part in the successful delivery of fibre nodes and trunk routes. This is a physically demanding position; required to work as a team and develop excellent working relationships.

Ideally you will have experience of external working within a similar environment.

Helping with the initial setting up of a safe working environment and to ensure that the working area is safely always maintained and tidy.

General Duties:

• Attending sites and providing copper and fibre cabling (overhead / underground)
• Initial Test rod and rope of cable routes.
• Working with the wider engineering team to provide full Fibre connectivity to residential and business customers.
• Working at height

General Requirements:

• Understanding of H&S and quality compliance (PIA & CF)
• Experience of Test Rodding & Roping, subducting, and cabling (Blown or pulled)
• Ability to understand, and interpret working diagrams and documents
• Relevant, current accreditations (in some cases, training will be provided)
