Project Coordinator - Caldicot - £40k

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to join a world leader in the water treatment and purification sector at their site based in Caldicot.

Contract Length: A minimum of 12 months with possible extension

Salary: Up to £40k depending on experience plus excellent benefits

Role Responsibilities:

• To lead and project manage all elements of project to modify a number of existing systems on board vessels trading worldwide.
• You will coordinate project engineering, project customer liaison, project purchasing, expediting, shipping co-ordination, remote site supervision and commissioning liaison.
• You will manage multiple small projects simultaneously.
• Responsible for ensuring that work is executed to client satisfaction within the stated timescales and within budget.
• Responsible for managing stakeholders, project team, communication, adherence to the project schedule whilst resolving any project conflicts.
• You will close contracts or transfer contracts to aftermarket/service as required.
• Accountable for the preparation and execution of subcontracts for product, material and labour recruitment.
• Budget reporting

The successful candidate:

• Ability to undertake decisions that are in the best interests of the company and the project, whilst understanding the effect on timescales, the financial impact, the engineering consequence.
• Sound Commercial awareness
• Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Computer literacy: Excel; Word; Power point; Microsoft Project; Microsoft Outlook
• A basic understanding of the mechanical, electrical and process requirements of a project
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings or schematics
