We're looking to recruit a Business development Consultant to work across Scotland and the North of England in the construction and Engineering Recruitment market place.

Duties

  • Manage a sales pipeline of prospective clients to deliver quarterly and annual financial performance targets
  • Develop existing customer relationships to broaden spectrum of services provided.
  • Identify opportunities to expand with existing and new customers into new European geographies.
  • Manage/support the tender process for new wins
  • Develop opportunities to evolve from staffing to corporate solutions.
  • Ensure all new business sales activity is compliant to regulatory, legislative and contractual commitments and follows the governance requirements as set out in the Impellam Group Terms of Reference for Subsidiaries and secondary policies
  • Monitor and report on performance in line with expectations
  • Personally research and identify potential high and medium value business to target and follow through on qualified leads from sales and operational staff.
  • Deliver agreed levels of new business through prospect calls, in line with activity targets an conversion rates set
  • Gather competitor information to enable Carbon60 to sell effectively
  • Build good working relationships with clients, peers, and managers.
  • Proactively monitor client requirement trends to enable Carbon60 to respond proactively to changing client needs.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong rapport builder with the ability to influence people, sell ideas and concepts and gain commitment.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Customer focused
  • Sound business ethics and integrity
  • Ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Team player with a flexible and confident approach to work
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering industry and markets
  • Strong and credible previous business development experience and track record
