A Power Plant Operator (boiler/CHP etc)/Mech Maintainenace is required for a permanent / staff role to join my Client's power station team in Cumbria, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the site power plant, to suit production requirements, as well as site wide mechanical maintenance duties which includes planned maintenance routines and servicing, fault finding, repair and testing of a wide range of equipment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:You will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience: * basic engineering knowledge with the willingness to undergo additional training to develop into a mechanical craftsperson with NVQ qualifications* previous knowledge of CHP systems is advantageous * good computer skills* strong problem solving and team working skills * an active involvement in safety and change management
The successful candidate must be agreeable to flexible working, training both on and off site, and be willing to work towards Boiler Operators Accreditation Scheme, or equivalent, compliance.
