A fantastic permanent Project Manager opportunity to join a leading Yorkshire based Main Contractor who are heavily involved within the construction sector throughout the region.

If you are looking for an opportunity to join a thriving, busy and modern Main Contractor in Yorkshire this could be the opportunity for you.

They work across a wide range of sectors, both new build and refurbishment with individual projects typically up to the value of £20m.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the project, including cost, quality, safety and programme through to completion and successful handover.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Health and Safety on site
  • Management of the site team
  • Subcontractor management
  • Ensuring the programme is adhered to at all times
  • Liaising directly with the client
  • Liaising with the Design Management and Site Engineering teams

You should also have Commercial awareness and experience of procurement and material ordering.

Strong contractual knowledge is essential for this position so people will need Main Contractor experience.

This role would suit a Project Manager who has great leadership and communication skills as this is an autonomous environment where you will be trusted to run the site using your experience to bring it to a successful completion on time and budget.

To be considered for the role the ideal candidate will be:

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management or related discipline
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager on new build projects of £5m and above
  • Main Contractor background
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid
