Accounts Assistant

Carbon60 are looking for an experienced Account Assistant to join a UK leading building, infrastructure and engineering company on a long-term temp- ongoing basis in Birmingham, near Birmingham International Airport.

All Applicants must have ATT Level 3 as minimum

Salary Range: £25,000- £30,000

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Process/approve high-volumes of employee expenses and claims.
• Process sub-contract payments, purchase invoices and raising of sale invoices.
• Setting up new clients and processing sale invoices into the accounting system.
• Allocating cash to the relevant client accounts.
• Chasing up outstanding debts.
• Dealing with client invoices queries by telephone and email.

Candidate Requirements

• ATT Level 3
• Previous experience within an Account Assistant role for a large organisation.
• Knowledge of accounting systems for both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prior experience processing high volumes of expenses.
• Comprehensive knowledge of VAT and HMRC rules and legislation
• Strong Excel knowledge (e.g., use of pivot tables, V-Look Ups, using advanced formula, reporting through Excel
• Be able to get to work in Birmingham, near Birmingham International Airport each morning.
