Consents & Environmental Manager (Scotland based)

We are looking for a Consents & Environment Manager based in Scotland.

The role will be to lead on environmental optioneering, assessment and delivery of all necessary statutory consents (including s37, Planning Permission, designated sites and environmental consents) in accordance with policies and procedures and external statutory regulations.

Ensure all environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements and obligations are fully incorporated and implemented into each stages of the project lifecycle, from optioneering, through to operations.

The role / Location:

• Full time 12 month contract.
• Based in Scotland - Flexible Locations, with a mix of remote working from home and also office-based locations in Aberdeen, Perth or Inverness to suit the individual.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in consenting and environmental management on large infrastructure projects in the UK.
• Knowledge of the Power & Utilities sector, ie: Electricity, Gas, Water would be an advantage.

Experience required:

• Development and / or construction phases of large projects.
• EIA project management, planning or specialist environmental disciplines.
• Liaison with statutory stakeholders and regulators.
• Managing consultants, budgets and working closely with Contractors.
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.

The position is offered on a long term contract basis initially for 12 months and is due to commence in April 2021.
