We are looking to recruit a Site Manager (Electrical / HV Power / Utility Networks) to oversee a team installing a large onshore HV cable route based in the Dundee area of Scotland.
The Site Manager will be required to successfully lead a team in the safe delivery of a large transmission cable works on time, within budget and to the required quality standards and must therefore be experienced in overseeing all aspects of the civils and cabling works in the delivery of large & complex projects.
This role will suit a construction experienced individual with a background in either Electrical or Civil Engineering, involved in the delivery of a large scale project in construction and delivery of High Voltage (132kV and above) electricity infrastructure networks is preferred.
Duties will include: * Oversee multiple work fronts and activities on site and report to the Project Manager as required. * Monitor, supervise and liaise with multiple sub-contractor parties on site. * Manage the Clerk of Works and Engineers within the site team. * Review RAMS and Methodology documents to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. * Ensure and maintain lines of communication with the main contractors, suppliers, stakeholders and community. * Attend contractor's toolbox talks and end of day site debrief meetings and coordination meetings. * Regularly undertake site visits of the cable route and advise, update, record any cable route progress. Ensure that progress is accurately reported and feeds into programme team. Ensure records and photos are kept. * Witness points attendance on behalf of employer and be responsible for ensuring quality is being met on site in accordance with Inspection and Test plans. * Track material resource deliveries arriving on site and advise of issues affecting essential deliveries (ducts, cable, gravel, CBS, etc). * Coordinate and liaise with on-site consultants team as required and supporting functions (Environmental / Health and Safety team). * Monitor progress against the construction programme and advise the Project Manager of any risks that will delay or hinder progress on the project. * Support the Project Manager to respond to Commercial Correspondence, Claims and provide information for Variations that arise on the project.
The position is initially offered on a contract basis for 7 months duration which may be extended longer.
