A great permanent Project Manager opportunity to join a leading North West based Main Contractor who are heavily involved within the construction sector throughout the region.

They work across a wide range of sectors, both new build and refurbishment with individual projects typically up to the value of £20m.

They are a business with a great culture and as a result they have a low turnover of staff and can offer their employees the chance to not only develop and progress their career but also the chance to become a very key person within the business.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the project, including cost, quality, safety and programme through to completion and successful handover.

The initial project you would be in charge of is a £10m new build Extra Care project based in Merseyside.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Lead site team ensuring highest possible standards at all times
  • Subcontractor management
  • Ensuring the programme is adhered to at all times
  • Liaising directly with the client
  • Liaising with the Design Management and Site Engineering teams

You should also have Commercial awareness and experience of procurement and material ordering.

Strong contractual knowledge is essential for this position so people will need Main Contractor experience.

To be considered for the role the ideal candidate will be:

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management or related discipline
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager on new build projects of £8m and above
  • Main Contractor background
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid
